Groom carries his bride in a field at sunset in colorado at their wedding

Summer Romance at Flying Horse Ranch was photographed by Tina Joiner and Summer Williams of Tina Joiner Photography. This summer wedding was stunning in every way!

How They Met

Sarah: We met through a mutual friend and were set up for our first date.  We decided to meet at a local brewery in Denver one night after work.  We both actually almost cancelled on each other but luckily decided to just go.  We had great conversations and really hit it off.  We have talked much everyday since then! A couple of weeks after our first date Clint asked me to go to lake Powell with his entire family and after thinking long and hard about it I decided to go. Seeing how he was with his family and the kids made me really fall for him and really from that time on I knew we would be something that lasted.

How Clint Asked

Sarah: Clint planned a beautiful night at the botanic gardens the weekend of my birthday.  He knows I love looking at Christmas lights and had been wanting to go see their light show.  He invited our parents and his grandparents to come with us and had rented a gazebo near the end of the light show.  We got to that point, turned to take a picture, then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! We toasted with champagne then headed back to the house where he had planned a surprise engagement party with my family and our friends!  It was truly the best night!

What Was Your Favorite Part of Your Wedding Day

Sarah: Our favorite part of the wedding day was definitely the dancing with all our friends and family.  Our main focus was being able to maximize our time with all of our guests and we really enjoyed everyone letting loose, getting to know each other, and having fun!

How Did You Pick Your Venue

Sarah: We actually only toured two venues but when we went there we fell in love with the scenery and location. We knew We wanted a barn feel with an outdoor ceremony and got thee best of all world with everything flying horse ranch offered!

What Advice Would You Give to Someone Planning a Wedding

Sarah: Definitely have a wedding coordinator!  She made everything so easy and was so helpful when it came to making decisions or providing recommendations for things maybe they didn’t offer.  I would also say 100% invest in a great photographer and videographer!  These are the memories you get to have forever and look back on, it’s so worth it to me to spend the money on capturing those memories.

Anything Else That You Would Like to Share

Sarah: We truly had the most fun day on our wedding day and are so thankful for the people we had there helping us! Tina and her team were truly amazing and captured some stunning pictures. When we look back on the day and think about all the people who made everything happen and go so smoothly, we feel very blessed and couldn’t be more thankful!
