Winter Engagement in Garden of the Gods photographed by Tina Joiner of Tina Joiner Photography.
How They Met
Celene: We actually met at work. Our story is a little funny because we sat catty corner to each other for nearly two years and only spoke in pleasantries and office small talk. It was not until a coworker’s happy hour at a Hermosa Beach bar that we chatted and realized we had WAAAYYY more in common than it seemed. We hit it off since then!
How Did He Propose?
Celene: He found a way to surprise me. We took a trip to Colorado to see friends, family and do some hiking (one of our favorite activities). Upon our arrival into Colorado, plans changed around so much. Who we were seeing when, where we would be hiking, everything seemed a little haphazard. However, on the second day Tom took me to visit Boulder for exploring. We hiked up to a waterfall (our favorite types of hikes) and he proposed at the bottom of the falls when I was not expecting! 🙂 Tom created my ring at a diamond wholesaler in Tampa called the International Diamond Center. He mentioned they were great and easy to work with.
Fashion For Your Engagement Session
We wanted our engagement photos to be elegant. Tom jumped in his best blue suit and I chose two formal dresses: an emerald gown for the classiness of the Broadmoor and long sleeved royal blue maxi dress to contrast the red rocks to use natural beauty of Garden of the Gods. Hair and make up was provided by ElePosh. Jessica and Bri did an awesome job!
Note From Celene
We’re extremely excited to have our wedding in early fall in Colorado Springs. We think the weather, scenery and sharing this time with family and friends will be truly spectacular!
