Love at Spruce Mountain Ranch was photographed by Tina Joiner and Associate, Amie Hazlett of Tina Joiner Photography. Mike and Lexi had their wedding ceremony and reception at the upper ranch in late summer. Hazy mountains were a gorgeous backdrop for their soft colors and elegant details.
How They Met
Lexi: Mike and I met attending CSU’s Construction Management Program. We never had any classes together until second semester of our Junior year. That semester we had all but like 2 classes together. I thought he was really cute. He was really shy and so I finally gained the courage to talk to him one day and the rest is history.
How did Mike Propose?
Lexi: Fall of 2019 Mike and I planned a two week vacation to Iceland and Ireland. While in Ireland we stayed at the Ashford Castle. While walking around the castle grounds, we came across this big iron gazebo. Once we walked under it, Mike got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I of course said YES!!
Selecting Spruce Mountain Ranch
Lexi: We had visited quite a few venues, but once we saw property that Spruce Mountain was on and the backdrop view that it had to offer for during the ceremony, the decision was easy. We knew we had to get married there.
Did Covid-19 effect your wedding plans?
Lexi: Honestly, we got pretty lucky and had originally planned the wedding to be summer of 2021 as we wanted plenty of time to plan. Besides having to wear masks while trying on bridal gowns and not being able to bring all my family to the appointment, we have really been able to dodge Covid-19.
Any Advice to other Brides?
Lexi: Have fun with it and just try to book/order items as far ahead of time as you can, so you are not stressing last minute.
