Autumn Romance in the Foothills was photographed by Kate and Summer, Associates with Tina Joiner Photography. Zack and Brianna were married on October 11, at The Manor House in Littleton, Colorado.
How Did you Meet?
Brianna: I met Zack’s family far before I met Zack. I babysat his brother’s kids through highschool, and got to know them very well. After I moved to Chicago, I would still visit them when I was in town, because they were such a special family to me. When they found out I was moving back to CO, they asked if I’d like to meet the girls’ uncle for coffee, to which I agreed but “only as friends”.
The coffee date went well, as Zack said later we were “on the same wavelength” right away. My best friend secretly sat behind us (as best friends do) for the whole date, I pretended to have somewhere to go, and I promptly got in my car to make a U-turn to go shopping with my best friend.
I maintained the “just friends” territory for a few months, until it became clear to me and everyone around me that I was head over heels for this man. The rest is history!
What is your Proposal Story?
Brianna: Zack rented an A frame Cabin in Breckenridge, CO. We went on a hike in the snowy mountains. It was a long and cold trek, but we finally made it to the top of the mountain. No one but us were on the top, and I was soaking in the view.
When I turned around, Zack was on his knee!
Joyous and tearful words followed, and I said yes to forever together. We spent the rest of the weekend making deep dish pizza, watching christmas movies, and stoking the fire in the woodburning stove – it was magical.
Do you have a favorite part of your Wedding Day?
Brianna: We loved every bit of our wedding day! The small moments we had alone were precious and tender, and the time we had with all of our families was so special and we will treasure it forever. Saying our vows and becoming man and wife in front of all of our loved ones in one room was a memory never to be forgotten.
How did you pick The Manor House?
Brianna: We looked around venues on The Knot and reached out to about 10 that were in our price range and had the look we wanted. We then toured as many as we could. When we toured the Manor House, we just knew it was the one!
Any additional advice to someone planning a wedding?
Brianna: Ask for help! If you don’t have a full-time wedding planner, it can be extremely overwhelming. Even though it can be hard to delegate jobs to others, it is so needed and worth it. We would also recommend prioritizing photography and videography for your wedding budget. Those are the ways that you will be able to look back on your day forever!
